Bio:- I'm Kay Smith and I joined the Anstey Parish Council in September 2023. I'm passionate about making Anstey a safe place for all residents. Since becoming a mother of two vibrant boys it became important to me to become a voice for parents in the village ensuring that all voices including children can be heard at the table. My background involves being a prison officer and working with young people who have been involved with crime. As a restorative justice practitioner I feel a duty to speak on behalf of those who have been victimised in the village and liaise with the local police community support team. I have recently started training as a nurse with University Hospitals Leicester and gained an interest in the health of the community. I am so grateful for the village of Anstey and the home it has become for me and my little family, I hope others feel the same!
